Tom Holland just posted a cryptic tweet with just Thursday’s date, leaving fans to wonder what news is coming up, and what movie it relates to.

Tom Holland is teasing some type of movie news, probably about Cherry, Uncharted, or Spider-Man 3, leaving fans to wonder what’s to come later this week. Ever since he debuted as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War, Holland has become one of today’s most sought-after actors. His genuine portrayal of the web-slinger earned him a spot in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, as well as three solo movies, with Spider-Man 3 beginning filming late last year. After jumpstarting his fame with the MCU, the Brit has expanded his acting career to different types of characters, genres, and even mediums; Holland recently took up voice acting for Pixar’s Onward with fellow Marvel-star, Chris Pratt.

2021 will prove to be another big year for Holland, as he has a lead role in three different movies. The first of his upcoming films is Apple TV+’s Cherry, which will have a theatrical release on February 26 before it’s added to the company’s streamer on March 12. The book-to-screen movie was directed by Avengers: Endgame’s Anthony and Joe Russo, featuring Holland as a former Army medic struggling with PTSD. Of course, Holland has not left his action-adventure roots behind. 2021 will also see him in Chaos Walking, a dystopian sci-fi, Uncharted, a movie adaptation of the popular Playstation game, and of course, Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.

While fans have anticipated seeing Holland on the big screen again, they are able to connect with the celebrity through his avid use of Twitter and Instagram. On Tuesday afternoon, Holland tweeted Thursday’s date with the suggestive smirking emoji but did not mention any movie that he’s tied to. Later, the Russo brothers responded to the tweet with a reaction gif, likely to promote their movie Cherry.

So what news will come out on Thursday? With all the buzz around Cherry, Thursday will likely be when they release the official trailer. They could be capitalizing on the press coverage the movie has earned ever since Robert Downey Jr. raved about his former co-star’s performance. But considering that Holland is juggling many projects, the news could relate to one of his other movies. Uncharted fans are also waiting on a trailer, so the tweet could be hinting towards that. And, of course, there is Spider-Man 3, which has yet to be given an official title.

Regardless of what the news is, it is amusing to see murmurs following something that Holland said. In recent years, Holland has gained a reputation as a liability for spoilers. Without any other hints of what movie Holland is talking about, it seems like fans will just have to wait until Thursday to find out more.
